Dear Friends

Welcome to my new, redesigned site, specifically for my readers in the US .  I've added new content including reader's guides, reviews, upcoming tour information and the opportunity to ask me specific questions.  I hope you find the information interesting and useful.  And if there's anything else you'd like to see on the site, do send me your feedback.  I'd love to hear what you think.

I am very excited that the paperback of Wives Behaving Badly will be published this summer. I think the jacket is particularly striking (do please tell me if you agree or disagree). I am also busy finishing my next novel, The Book of Hours which will be published in the summer of 2008. Its subject – the search for a lost medieval manuscript –  has meant I have spent many hours in research and I have been touched by the amount of help that experts are keen to offer. On second thoughts, it is not so surprising. On my tours around the United States, I have met with a wide variety of people - but they have all been united by one thing which is a love of books and reading. I am lucky to be a member of that community.  May it continue to grow.
