One of the rewarding aspects of being a novelist is the response by readers, and I am constantly touched, or pulled up short, by the kindness of people who write to me - some from all over the world - to tell me that my books have given them pleasure or pause for thought.

Before you are a writer you are reader – and readers come in every shape and size and many feel a passionate involvement in the books they choose to read. That passion indicates an involvement which is something no writer can value too highly. Defender or critic, each and every reader is important. Being a passionate reader myself, I know that I often wanted to know more about a writer whose work intrigued or interested me and a website is one way of helping that process.
